Thursday Affirmation
Today is a brand new day. I do all that I can every day. Tomorrow I'll do even better.
A Quote
"Loving yourself has nothing to do with being selfish, self-centered or self-engrossed. It means that you accept yourself for what you are. Loving yourself means that you accept responsibility for your own development, growth and happiness. When you love yourself, you pave the way for all you want and need to come to you at the right time in the perfect way."

Chair yoga
adapts traditional yoga poses so that they can be done with a chair for
support, making yoga more accessible for people who cannot stand for
long periods. This sequence of chair poses can be used for home
practice.
1. Chair Cat-Cow Stretch
Come to sit on a chair with the spine long and both feet planted flat on the floor.
On an inhale, arch your back and drop your shoulders. This is cow position.
On an exhale, round your spine, letting the shoulder and head come forward. This is cat position.
Continue moving between cow on the inhalations and cat on the exhalations for five breaths.

3. Chair Forward Bend - Uttanasana
On an exhalation, come into a forward bend over the legs.
Let the hands rest on the floor if they reach it. Let the head hang heavy.
On an inhalation, raise the arms back up over the head.
Repeat this sequence several times, moving with the breath.

4. Chair Extended Side Angle - Utthita Parsvakonasana
After your final forward bend, stay folded.
Bring your left fingertips to the floor on the outside of your left foot.
Open your chest as you twist to the right on an inhale, bringing your right arm and gaze up to the ceiling. Hold here for several breaths. Bring the right arm down on an exhale.
If your left hand doesn't come easily to the floor, bring it to your left knee instead and twist from there.
For a more intense twist, bring the left fingertips to the outside of the right foot (pictured here) before twisting.
Do the same position with the right arm down and the left arm up.

Friday Affirmation - Great for all of us to practice!!!
I block all negative thoughts. I send them away to be carried off in a bubble with good intention.
I allow the bubble to return to me after the negative energies have been transmuted into positive energy.

Positive is always is stronger than the negative. The positive thought then goes out into the universe and overrides the negative, essentially erasing it, and this can create change in your consciousness and makes us aware of the habit of negative thought and emotions and can re-train us to diminish the habit. This is a simple but effective two-step healing exercise you can do as you begin to monitor your thoughts.
